Heart Attack
Heart Attack is
something which people are afraid off. A heart attack happens when the flow of oxygen-rich blood to a section
of heart muscle suddenly becomes blocked and the heart can’t get oxygen. If
blood flow isn’t restored quickly, the section of heart muscle begins to die.
Heart attack is today top cause of killing in men according to a report
of American Heart Association.
·
In
2008, over 616,000 people died of heart disease.
·
In
2008, heart disease caused almost 25% of deaths—almost one in every four—in the
United States.
·
Every
year about 785,000 Americans have a first coronary attack. Another 470,000 who
have already had one or more coronary attacks have another attack.
Men die the most today due
to heart attack as compared to women. More than half of men who die due to
heart attack are men.
Now it is something to
worry! Why men are dying in huge number due to heart problems?
It is because the Initial
symptoms are ignored and Dr is not consulted at the right time. Or it is also
because that many people do not know the initial symptoms which then lead to
heart attack and unfortunately death.
But now if people get
familiar with the symptoms, so that can result in saving huge number of lives.
The good news is that that there are few symptoms which if noticed by a person
should immediately consult his Dr. His action can result in saving his life
from a disaster which can happen to his family by losing him.
Not all heart attacks begin with the sudden, crushing chest
pain that often is shown on TV or in the movies, or other common symptoms such
as chest discomfort. The symptoms of a heart attack can vary from person to
person. Some people can have few symptoms and are surprised to learn they've
had a heart attack. If you've already had a heart attack, your symptoms may not
be the same for another one.
FEW
SYMPTOMS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1 DISCOMFORT IN CHEST:
Most heart attacks involve discomfort in the center or
left side of the chest. The discomfort usually lasts more than a few minutes or
goes away and comes back. It can feel like pressure, squeezing, fullness, or
pain. It also can feel like heartburn or indigestion.
Now it is the initial sign which is being is ignored.
If it has ever happened to you or if it happens you
should without any delay consult your Dr. Do not hang it up for the future or
due to your busy schedule as it something which is about your life
A person should prioritize himself first then work.
THE ULTIMATE VALUE OF LIFE DEPENDS UPON AWARENESS AND THE
POWER OF CONTEMPLATION RATHER THAN UPON MERE SURVIVAL.
2 UPPER BODY DISCOMFORT:
You may feel pain or discomfort in one or both arms,
the back, shoulders, neck, jaw, or upper part of the stomach (above the belly
button).
This is also something to take seriously. This is not
the time to just reach for a remedy and figure it will go away.
Mostly people avoid such symptoms by saying it is
because of restlessness and over work, but they don’t go to see their Dr which
then result in a severe pain of which outcome is the Heart Attack.
3 SHORTNESS OF BREATH.
This may be your only symptom, or it may occur before or
along with chest pain or discomfort. It can occur when you are resting or doing
a little bit of physical activity.
Shortness of breath is another problem which is faced by
number of people today and few people take immediate action which is the cause
for such a large number of heart disease.
Other possible symptoms of a heart attack include:
·
Breaking
out in a cold sweat
·
Feeling
unusually tired for no reason, sometimes for days (especially if you are a
woman)
·
Nausea
(feeling sick to the stomach) and vomiting
·
Light-headedness
or sudden dizziness
·
Any
sudden, new symptom or a change in the pattern of symptoms you already have
(for example, if your symptoms become stronger or last longer than usual).
