Child Labor in Pakistan

Child labor refers to the employment of children in any work that deprives children of their childhood, interferes with their ability to attend regular school, and that is mentally, physically, socially or morally dangerous and harmful.

Today we see number of children working in small shops, offices, restaurants etc just because they are getting low wages then any other professional worker. The parents of these children just for few Rupees send their children to work in harsh conditions. These children work for more then 12 hours a day which is against the law. According Officials they state that the Government is working to eliminate child labor but at the same time we see number of children working in our society. Several Ngo's which are just working for the purpose to decrease child labor has also failed to stop it.

According to ILO 2013 report 168 million children are still involved in the child labor. But the data is not the accurate because they would not have cover the whole area of Pakistan. Child labor is been increasing, the children who should study in Institutes are working. Today when group of people are sitting and talking on the topic everyone declare it an illegal activity but at the same time when it comes to individual person they also gets involved in the child labor. They also exaggerate this illegal activity. Our society is just limited to speeches and can not do something practical.

A  vast number of children are working in the houses on very low wages. Girls who are working in the houses are often targeted to harassment and due to which they loose their confidence level and are considered as shame to the society. Everyone wants to save their money and to get maximum out of their lives. People do not care of ethics, law, respect what they want is their own satisfaction.
Today everyone is aware of this crime but still we are pretending as EDUCATED FOOLS  the children who are working for us they also will have some dreams about their life but we are the resistance to their dreams, We are those who are making these children work rather then study.




God have given human being the boon of wisdom. He made us think on the wrong doings and gave knowledge how to eliminate it from the society. Despite of being the best creatures we are still acting like animals we are called social animals but the word social is hidden now from us due to our such shameful activities. Human being is now according me to worst creature of the universe as they can go to any limits just for their own means and lust.

I request the people of Pakistan and of the whole world that please think over it as we are given one chance to prove what we are and what is the basic purpose of our life. Treat every child as you treat your own.
